Capt. Kubley testifies before Homeland Security Committe on improving FEMA's emergency shelter response to disasters.
Capt. Kubley is honored to have testified before the United States House of Representatives Homeland Security Committee, the purpose of the meeting was to identify problems in FEMA's response to disasters such as Hurricane Katrina and Ike. Intershelter was asked to be part of this process as many in congress feel that we are the type of new, innovative, and superior solution to emergency housing and first responders for FEMA and other relief organizations.

Capt. Don Kubley, President of Intershelter has been invited by Congressman Bennie Thompson, Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee to appear before the U.S. House of Representatives Homeland Security Committee
on July 8th, 2009. The committee will be addressing "FEMA Housing: An Examination of Current Problems and Innovative Solutions." Capt. Kubley says "That he's honored for the privilege to appear before this distinguished congressional committee. I feel that Intershelter has a great deal to offer FEMA first responders and the victims of any type of natural or man-made disaster. When shelter is needed most. Intershelter stands ready to do all we can to provide the United States with the 'next generation' of emergency and military shelters."
In a conversation Kubley had with an official at the Italian embassy in Washington D.C. he was told something that was very profound. The embassy official said, "I'm embarrassed to tell you that to respond to the recent terrible quakes North of Rome the only emergency shelter we could provide was exactly the same thing that the Romans responded with when Mount Vesuvius destroyed Pompeii... Tents."

Deputy Commissioner of the Alaska State Department of Military Affairs endorses the use Intershelter domes for immediate deployment to respond to natural disasters of all kinds in all parts of Alaska. "Thanks Captain for the information on the Dome shelters. We all agree with General Campbell about the use and versatility of these [shelters].
While we are working closely with FEMA on the Emergency shelter for many of the flood disaster victims of rural Alaska, we will certainly share with them how your product can be of tremendous value."

Head of Alaska National Guard endorses Intershelter domes for use after any natural disaster. General Campbell, adjutant general of the Alaska National Guard has asked all federal agencies involved in emergency preparedness, such as FEMA and Homeland Security, to provide Intershelter Solar domes for immediate deployment in region X--encompassing Washington, Oregon, and Alaska.
